regon Wellness Partners (“OWP”) is a group of board certified physicians and other licensed allied health professionals, such as acupuncturists, massage therapists, and nutritionists, who are committed to holistic medicine and integrative care. We are focused on body health and wellness. We believe that proper diet and nutrition supported by other integrative therapies, including the use of medical cannabis, are very important to achieve individual health and wellness.

OWP is on the “cutting edge” of patient therapy and medical research. In many respects, we are learning together with our patients. Each patient’s body and medical needs are different and require unique care approaches. What OWP offers to patients is an openness to try new integrative therapies. Often more traditional, mainstream medical care has failed to provide sufficient therapy for debilitating diseases and medical conditions.

OWP is on the leading edge of patient therapy and medical research. In many instances, we are learning together with our patients. Each patient’s body and medical needs are different and require unique care approaches. What OWP offers to patients is an openness to try new integrative therapies when more traditional, mainstream medical care has failed to achieve wellness and desired relief from debilitating diseases and medical conditions.

What makes OWP a preferred care option?

As board certified physicians, we understand the benefits and limits of traditional, mainstream medicine. We believe that you as a patient should make a commitment to improving your diet and nutrition, as we work to integrate other therapies into your overall care plan. We believe that a healthy body and mind begin with what you eat and put into your body on a daily basis. Specifically with painful medical conditions, we often recommend cannabis as a care option, as opposed to the use of opiates and other addictive drugs.

How do you see an OWP professional?

The first step to see an OWP professional is to register on our website. Then a member of our staff will call you to schedule a patient appointment. You also may call our office to schedule an appointment 503.351.5823. If you reach our answering service, please leave a message. We will call you back. At our initial consultation, an OWP physician will review your individual health history, diet, and nutrition to create an innovative wellness and personalized care plan for you.

Do OWP physicians provide recommendations for OMMP patient cards?

Yes. We are aware that very few physicians in Oregon provide the required written recommendation to the Oregon Health Authority (“OHA”) for individuals seeking an Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (“OMMP”) patient card. We do provide such recommendations as part of an overall wellness consultation.

If you are being treated by another physician for a specific disease or medical condition and seek an OMMP patient card recommendation, it is required that you bring a copy of your applicable medical records for the first consultation with OWP. This is a requirement under Oregon law. An OWP physician can become your physician under the OMMP for specific medical conditions, such as pain management, when you do not have a primary or specialty care physician.

What are our fees and how do you pay for our services?

All OWP services can be paid for via debit card or cash in our office. We do not accept personal checks at this time. Our services range in price depending on selection (see fees page). If you are applying for an Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (“OMMP”) patient card and wish an OWP physician recommendation, we offer a discounted service if you bring your medical records to the initial consultation. Can you bill health insurance plan when you see OWP physicians and professionals?

As a new health care option for patients, we believe that you can use your health savings or health reimbursement account to pay for our services with your account’s credit card. However, we will NOT bill your health insurance plan directly. We will provide you with the required paperwork to do so.

What do I need to bring to my OWP appointment?

Please go to the “Forms” page and print out the appropriate forms. It is appreciated if you complete the applications prior to your OWP Physician consultation

Wellness & OMMP Patient Card Consultations:

Please bring a copy of your medical records if you’re being treated by another physician for a specific disease or medical condition or have a primary care physician.

In certain circumstances for the treatment of pain, an OWP Physician may be able to provide a recommendation for an OMMP patient Card.
